I think stock replacements will be more than sufficient.

Performance-wise, I agree OEM would do just fine...especially with upgraded pads. But for the price of OEM, I'd like to upgrade at least for a set that are coated. I've seen OEM that are only about a year old that don't look much better than what I have. Mine aren't worn out. I don't think they've ever been turned either. They just look nasty behind the wheels. May sound shallow to some, but like I said, it bugs me. ![]()

I would concur.
I tracked my stock rotors, and they performed rather well. After replacing the fronts with drilled/slotted Brembos, and similar Ferodo's on the rear, it seemed to me that it was taking longer to brake during a track day. The drilled/slotted rotors will shorten brake pad life. I completely destroyed a set of front pads in about 1.5 track days with the rotors. Granted the Brembo rotors looked nice, but I don't think they worked any better. Moot point now for me, as the fronts are 12.75 inch Coleman's with Wilwood SL6 calipers and Porterfield R4 pads. These work very well on track days. |
