Fun with oil cooler & Vmount ducting!
Charlie (cabaynes) and I decided to make up some ducting for my VMount and Oil Cooler kit... here are the results (don't mind the scribbled movie quotes on the top)

Is the main duct offset or is it just my eyes?

The rotary extreme radiator is offset to the passenger side. Our radiator will be mounted in a similar fashion. The radiator has to be set to the passenger side to allow clearance for the A/C lines. If you look at the frame rail above the ducting you can see that the radiator is offset.

I like that ductwork. Functional and aesthetically pleasing.

That is actually the Rotary Extreme v-mount not ours, ours will not have the drain hole on the wrong side

First off, i'm really not trying to be lame here. Its rad that you are putting so much work into your car. From the looks of the oil cooler ducts in the bumper, the holes are much smaller than the ducts that you made. If you look at the factory or r-magic ducts they use a method of making the initial opening smaller than the area that is sealed to the oil cooler. The reason for this is to create a pressure change from the front of the cooler to the back of the cooler. Basically, at higher speeds you have too much air going to the cooler and it cant get out the back because of the pressure created, so in order to fix this problem they make the inlet hole smaller than the surface of the cooler. Its probably done with a percentage of the surface of the cooler being reduced by a specific percent or some complicated formula. Anyway by making the initial opening smaller than the surface of the cooler, it creats a venturi effect actually helping the air get pulled through the cooler. Just thought this might help you out. Seems like you have the knack for making these things, so i thought i would give you a little technical data to help improve your designs. Good luck!
