Do you have a pic of one installed in a car with no PS by any chance? I am interested but I think it might look kinda funny without the PS pump. Also, if I don't have the rats nest bracket, would you be able to make something work for me? Nice work btw.

When I get back in town this weekend I will take some photos of my Gen 2 catch tank without the power steering and mounting bracket in place. I can accommodate an alternative mounting point. Do you still have the alternator in the original location? I may be able to tie into the adjuster bracket. If it looks funny I can modify the tank to have a cleaner look if you want. With the Gen 3 tank I can remove some volume at the top and still be well above 1 litre capacity.
Thanks, tell anybody else you think might be interested in the catch tank. Last edited by afgmoto1978; 01-15-2009 at 03:21 PM. |

Cool Thanks. I do have the alternator in the original location. Taking out a little volume from the container is not a problem. I like yours because it is very clean looking - like it is stock.

AHarada, see pictures of the catch tank without the power steering and bracketry in place. If you decide to get one of these tanks I can make a custom one without the standoff at the top and put the sight line one the right face of the catch tank to get a better view. Since were so close to the end of this month you just need to pay in full when I'm done, but I need confirmation you want this made before the end of this Friday. I will be making the tanks this weekend.
That goes for the rest of the guy who haven't paid the deposit. I need confirmation that you intend to buy a catch tank. |

That sounds awesome. Yes, please put me down for one like you said without the standoff at the top and the sight line on the right side. Let me know if you'd like me to make a deposit before these are actually done, no problem there.

Also, I have stock twin turbos for now, so the turbo oil drain on the rear iron is being used. So how would you suggest I set it up like this? I'm thinking the catch tank inlet would be from the oil filler neck, but what about the catch tank outlet? Would that go to the PCV check valve on the UIM, or to the primary compressor inlet? Or both?

Regarding the premix tank design---I can't think of a filler/cap location better than what you pretty much have drawn up. Attached is a picture showing the routing of the IC piping (mine will be similar)----I think your tank will still fit. Perhaps you could cut off the top part of the tank on the drivers side just to make a little more clearance? I don't think it will affect the capacity much, and if you could run the sight line out of the front instead of top I think there would be enough room. What do you think?
Also, I wanted to make sure that your tank will have clearance for the steel braided oil metering lines around the water pump---it looks pretty close in some of your pictures. Last edited by RotaryWhat?; 01-22-2009 at 09:27 PM. |

As far the vent line from the right rear iron, I will provide you with all the neccesary hardware for when or if you plan to convert to single. Others have drilled and tapped into the front engine cover, but I don't believe you would want to do that. Go ahead a send a Paypal deposit and your shipping address. |

Alright the GB is Officially closed.
Those that have got in on this GB consider yourselves lucky. I will be increasing the price of these units to $250 to reflect the amount of hours involved in making these kit. So you got them at a fire sale price. Last edited by afgmoto1978; 02-01-2009 at 11:44 PM. |
