Mine did this once and the screen was completely blank. If that ends up being your problem... I resolved it by pushing the plug down all the way and then daubing some silcone around it and not moving it until the silcone set. It's now held firm and the silicone keeps any possibility of moisture or dirt out, but I can still pull it out if I need to. IIRC, there have also been occasional issues reported on some units from the wire leads being too short as they enter the commander display. Simple movement of the cord over time can work one or more of the wires loose from the board inside the display head, requiring some solder work.
