Extra carb part

So I'm about 8 hours into my firust carb rebuild ever, should've started with a lawn mower. I've got all the jets and bleeds out of the main body. Everything is accounted for as far as the diagrams I've got and I flip the main body over and a brass tube measuring 14x4mm falls out. I have no idea where it came from nor where it's going. If anyone has an answer it would be appreciated. I'll be posting this on OhioRotaries and SMW also.

That's not a tube. It's solid, right? If so, it came out of one of the holes having something to do with the accel pump circuit. It'd be a guess on my part if I told you in which particular hole it once resided. Someone may come along a little later into this thread who knows the Nikki better than I. Have patience.

Correct it's a solid piece. Sorry about that. I'll look at the accel pump circuit. I've got the 2 weights accounted for this is larger than the weights.

I should know what that is, but just can't think of it right now. Take a look over at www.sterlingmetalworks.com There are lots of photos, rebuild advice, and I think that part you have is covered in there at some point too. If you can't find what you need there, then get Sterling's email address from his website and send him an email.

Good luck.

Thanks K. I posted the questin there in the Intake forum also. I'm wondering if it's something unrelated that was picked up from the outside and just happened to be trapped there.
