Cool Hello from Norway

Hi.

I'm a 30-something dude from Norway, and I recently bought my first rotary, making it my third Mazda overall.

The rotary is a sweet 1980 RX-7 with a 13bt swap, done properly. Old dynosheets with SP and T66 showed 580HP@1.9bar at flywheel. The engine is now sporting a half-bridge and a Precision 72mm. Will dyno it in a couple of months (waiting for spring, too much snow now).

Hi! I know Thanks for the welcome!
I've known Frode for several years actually =) Hopefully I can take as good care of the car as he did.
I don't have any major plans for mods(because seriously, what is there to be done here? :P), but the exhaust sound has to be quieter, so that's one thing for sure.
I'm considering following up on his plans for a fuel cell that hooks up with original filler hole.

Frode and his boss @ VS Motor are real almost pioneers for turbo cars..... had a few fuck ups, then I gave him some set up advise on the engine and water injection (for rotaries) and when he got back in touch with me on what they achieved on the engine dyno I almost shit my pants really They tested all of my settings and found them to be the "right way" which was nice to get feedback on.

While others on inferior forums were thinking of swaps this man with some help created a total beast and using levels of boost and still retaining reliability that even to this day many cannot equal on similar equipment.

I still have the dyno data from that car showing the boost, rpm, tq and power across the dyno run.... very lucky man you are to have that car

Frode doesn't work at VS Motor tho But yeah, this was their first rotary, so some mistakes were bound to happen, at least when you want to break new ground
Frode doesn't do anything without a scientific understanding of the "why", so kudos to you my man!
Pfft, V8s have nothing to do in an RX, I get sad everytime I read about or see one of those swaps.
I will be dynoing the current setup in April, looking forward to see the numbers with the HBP , PT72mm Turbo and proper tune.

I only have a dirty printout of the dyno run, could I get the readouts you have?

the Vacuum line, to my MAP became detached while I was legally drifting.
my engine would not rev past 2500, and idled from 300-650 and was stalling.
Fortunately, I acquired a Zip-Tie.
I fixed a catastrophic engine failure, With a Zip-Tie.
JDM FTW.
