New member and owner!
Hello everyone, I've been on the forums lurking around for awhile, unsure if I would be able to buy an RX7. I usually search on forums looking at car builds and for sale section just dreaming of getting something someday, lol...Well that day finally became reality about 2 weeks ago. I purchased my first rotary ever, a 93 FD with around 95k on the body and about 12k on the motor. Took me like 2 weeks to take a picture, but here she is...
![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us I think I got quite lucky with the buy, and feel like I got a good deal. The previous owner was a women, looked to be in her early 40's, so I was already glad to hear that. The owner had all records of the car, and had all her work done at Rotary Performance in Garland, TX. She said Chris took care of her car, and if I ever needed work done, go to him. So I think I was pretty fortunate to get an FD that was babied, and garage kept. She even threw in some brand new head light covers and an extra still in the package 93 front lip. Only thing that was done performance wise, was a Bonez down pipe, and RSR catback exhuast. Only down side is its an automatic, but I have future plans for that already. Future plans: This weekend I plan to do the DIY 99' style tail light conversion, I think posted by Theorie? And getting with some close friends of mine to do a custom vmount radiator/intercooler setup, with keeping the AC and power steering. I have been searching the threads, and have a lot of pictures to go off of for the brackets and setup, so glad the people on the forums document all this good info. for people like me. Well sorry for the long wall of text, and thank you for all the info you guys share with the community. Oh I forgot one last thing, my name is Chase, and I live in Fort Worth, TX. So hopefully there is quite a few TX owners here. |
