Installing rear diff pinion flange
I purchased a replacement pinion flange seal, and removed the pinion flange to install it. It occurred to me after the fact that the amount of torque on the nut may affect something in the rear end (gear lash, maybe?). I didn't mess with anything else in or on the rear diff housing.
Am I correct in my thinking? Is there a specific procedure for installing the pinion flange?
