oh...and welcome to the new site.
Thanks!

I definitely would love to hunt it down, and conquer it.

Life can change pretty quickly, and mine definitely has over the past couple of weeks. So, in lieu of that, I'm trying to do the right thing by letting it go...

Maybe someday, I'll have another.

I guess this is where I have to accept other people's opinions.

I assume you read the ad, and saw that the motor is NOT blown? I don't think people know much about a cracked plate. I can start the car and let it run right now, but that wouldn't do much good with no oil pressure.

I said that if someone bought the car quick enough, I'd throw in a ported plate. So an O-ring kit costs about $150, and say $50 for misc on the build, and the motor could be back together for $200.

I'm not understanding how what I'm offering right now is not seen as a tremendous deal. A "beginner" is not gonna buy this car, so I'd assume if someone purchased it, they'd know what they are doing with these motors.

The wheels and suspension were next in line on this car. As it sits, its the perfect platform for someone to put down 500whp, slap on the suspension and wheels of their choice...and have a car like NO other.

I'm open for someone to find another FC with a list as long as mine, in as good of shape, and looks as good as mine, that sold for "around" my price....

I mean you could always buy an FD roller for $8K.

Cracked plate, blown engine, whatever. Point is, the motor has to come out and come apart. That is not something anyone wants to do, especially after dropping over 10K.

Not that the car is not worth it, like I said. A little more now will net you alot more later.

Ok, so I've had my motor out of the car and the block torn completely down in 3 hours. How fast can you do yours?

Anyone who owns a high HP rotary will become very familiar with pulling, installing, and assembling motors. Not just from cracked plates, but for general maintenance. It's the nature of the game.

Like I said, just drop $8K on a FD roller, and then see how much money it takes to go from there...

I can do the same job in the same time.

You are not seeing my point and assuming I am some noob, so I will just let you do what you want.

I'm not assuming you are some noob, and I do see your point. I don't think you see my point of not wanting to spend more money on it, or why I'm even selling.

I had planned on keeping this car forever, which clearly can be seen with the amount of time, effort, and money that I have invested.

Welcome to the club!
I think you should keep the car, it's far too nice to part with

BTW, I like your username! Any particular reason you chose it?

Thanks! I would LOVE to keep it, but other things are more important right now.

The username was just something I started using back in college, during my PC gaming phase. It just kinda stuck...

I liked the name due to the fact that it's referenced on the battlefield by never leaving it before your comrades.

Hello everyone,
New to the site and to Rotary. But l Love what I have been seeing. Just got a first gen RX7. 83'. Needs a little work but absolutly love the car. I have always wanted one and now I just have to figure out what to do with it. I will try to get some pics as soon as possible. By the way is there anyone else out there from the Pacnorwest?
