possible S5 TII OMP problem

S5 TII, fresh rebuild

car runs like shit when u try to load it up a little bit, which seems to be OMP problem....i checked resistance on 6pin connector and there is none, assuming OMP is really bad....

question is : can i use some resistors and 'cheat' stock ECU to run ok without OMP or is my only solution to find some good OMP?

I looked at the specs for both the NA and TII oil pumps and here are the differences:

NA pump diameter x width of rotor: 50mm x 17.5mm
TII pump diameter x width of rotor: 50mm x 12.5mm

You may have a hard time using an NA OMP pump if you look to replace it. Let me know if you want to trick the ECU or get aa new OMP.

This problem just doesn't sound right. Do you have any more info on the engine?

I am talking about OMP, not oil pump.....

I have built engine and everything else in test came ok. I had same car (with no problems) sitting next to this one and i checked and compared everything, replaced fuel pump, afm, boost sensor, measured tps etc...)
Last thing i tried was unhooking OMP on working car and it started to behave exactly same like car with problem. Then i measured resistance/voltage on OMP of working car and on other car as well - working car had good results, problem car none. Thats the point where i found OMP (or its wiring) to be faulty and thats why it goes into limp mode. With some luck, i might get working S5 OMP from friend today and will hook it up friday to see if its all whats wrong...

Will let u know

You cannot fool the stock ECU unless you get a microcontroller.
The problem is that there's a feedback circuit which tells the stock ECU what position the stepper motor is in.
This is the big problem.
It's easy to fool the stock ECU into "seeing" the 3 stepper motors (via resistors), but how do you fool the feedback circuit?

well, you can either:

A: Buy the RTEK S5 omp canelling chip for $100, then get a S5 OMP block off plate, gasket, and RTV to seal it..

or,

B: Get another used S5 OMP, and refurbish the lines courtesy of a guide on the evil forum.
